Tarot - Beginner + Advanced

  • Lake Claire Community Land Trust 270 Arizona Avenue NE Atlanta, GA, 30307 United States (map)

These beginner-friendly Tarot classes will be a general crash course on how to give yourself and others a tarot. Learn how to interpret two types of tarot spreads, and how to read the cards with no spread at all. These classes will leverage personal memory and experience to teach the universal symbols of the tarot. Learning is a community, and each of us has unique and valuable insights to contribute through our passion and interest in the Tarot. All individuals from all walks of life are welcomed.

This class is held every 2nd Saturday. The first hour class (beginner) will be dedicated to the major arcana and the second hour class (advanced) will be dedicated to the minor arcana and the court cards.

Tarot cards themselves have existed since the 1400s but were used in a card game. Not until the 1700s did people start to utilize these cards to gain insight into their past, present or future. Since the 1960s, Tarot is also used widely as a device for seeking personal guidance and spiritual growth. It is widely believed that tarot cards can help the individual explore one's spiritual path.
