Cacao Ceremony

  • Lake Claire Community Land Trust 270 Arizona Avenue NE Atlanta, GA, 30307 United States (map)

Kris Catalyst's cacao drink is created with ceremonial grade cacao, a plant medicine sourced from Ecuador and melted down with spring water and delicious spices brewed with pure love intentions. Ceremonial grade cacao is grown organically with no pesticides and involves much intention throughout the entire process from growing the plant to fermenting the cacao beans. With the right amount consumed and high quality cacao, gathering in ceremony with the community has the power to act as a catalyst for one's journey, releasing any emotional blockages of what may be hindering one's growth. The practice of Kris’s ceremony involves the beautiful pairing of cacao with music, ecstatic dance, yoga, meditation and other heart opening activities that will allow you to be vulnerable and willing to express more compassionately than you may be used to.

Cacao, also known as Xocolatl, is the pure form of chocolate sourced from the cacao fruit itself. There are pods in the fruit known as the cacao beans. They are extracted, dried, fermented, roasted and turned into chocolate. Mayans were known as the first to discover the cacao, dating as far back as 900 A.D. according to archaeologists.
