This weekly community poetry circle is courtesy of neighbor Jim Kissinger. The Richard S. Jones Memorial Poetry Circle is an informal gathering open to all where we go around the circle in turn reading any poem, ode, haiku, etc. that has meaning to the reader, followed by light discussion.
Mr. Jones was a humanist from the mountains near Franklin, NC whose family have been stewards of Wayah Bald near Franklin for generations. The circle is hosted by local physician and neighbor, Jim Kissinger.
Please be mindful of direct neighbors when parking, coming and going due to the hours. The only other rule is no profanity. Please use common sense and courtesy when selecting your poems!
Jim will post a list of the author/titles read on Next Door after each meeting. Bring your poems and bring a friend! If you can only come by for a short spell, please do.
The poetry circle will meet weekly on Wednesday evenings.
