We are joining forces with Blessing Bags of Warmth to collect coats, scarves, hats, gloves, thermals and throw blankets for our unhoused neighbors! Please bring your donations to the designated drop off porches between January 14th and January 20th.

Blessing Bags of Warmth was started in November 2020 when founder Sherri and her then 8 year old daughter, Rose, were delivering food to a homeless encampment in Atlanta and Rose stated “It's so cold. I just want to help them mommy." And help they do! To date they have served over 3000 unhoused individuals in Atlanta.

From their mission statement:
“We at Blessing Bags of Warmth have a desire to encourage self-worth within our unhoused (homeless) population through personal face to face contact in, and around, the community. Building a dialog of understanding and offering the simplest of basic necessities, from personal hygiene to clothing, is beginning to show that a little human to human compassion is immense in bridging the gap between us. Our focus is to remain an active and visual resource in the community, a beacon of hope if you will, which acts as a go between larger organizations and those in need. Often times, we have found that open and frank conversation leads to an understanding of the root cause of deprivation for an individual and therefore the ability to connect the person with available support.”
