Ladybug Events and Homestead Atlanta have teamed up at the Land Trust to bring you family fun enrichment that will spark and nurture the seeds of stewardship in your child’s heart and mind. Join Miss Ladybug and friends on the first and third Tuesdays of October and November for enchanting gardening, homesteading and nature exploration! All ages welcome. Children under 4 must be accompanied. 

Tuesday, October 6
LIL BUGS AFTERNOON OUT:
ENCHANTED GARDEN TEA TIME
4:15 – 5:30 pm
As we sip on homemade iced tea, we will learn about easy to grow herbs, how to dry them, and make yummy teas to share with our friends and families. Each participant will take home 3 re-usable tea bags full of goodness and the knowledge to make more tea at home.  All ages welcome. Children under 4 must be accompanied.

LIL BUGS AFTERNOON OUT:
FARM & GARDEN DECORATION STATION HALLOWEEN FUN
4:15 – 5:30 pm
Miss Ladybug’s favorite thing to do is dressing up with nature and decorating the home for October 31!  Let’s gather in the garden to create costume accessories using local chicken (and emu) feathers, paint jack-o-lanterns on rocks, and drink spiced apple cider! Expect a little face painting, take-home art and fun wear!

LIL BUGS AFTERNOON OUT: BELEAFS IN FAERIES –
FAERIE SHADOW HUNT  & FAERIE HOME CONSTRUCTION
Join the very faery Miss Ladybug and friends for a magical adventure of art, poetry and discovery! We will catch faery shadows to take home, preserve beautiful fall leaves, and build a winter faerie village for our friends.

LIL BUGS AFTERNOON OUT: MORE SEEDS PLEASE!
BIRD FEEDERS AND YUMMY ENERGY BALLS
Seeds are amazing source of energy for birds and people!  As it becomes colder let’s think about our feathered friends and make them yummy treats.  We will create bird feeders to take home and after we will make delicious energy balls with roasted sunflowers seeds and local honey to eat.
