PUT ON YOUR DANCIN’ SHOES! Come and celebrate, dance, eat, and commune with your neighbors while raising funds for our beautiful oasis in the city! We have a great line-up of music, art, food and beverages to keep you entertained and happy, plus the usual raffle prizes, bake sale, face painting and cool vendors. It’s happening on Saturday, April 12, from 2:30-11:00 pm.
The neighborhood kids’ bands are back and ready to rock us – we are so excited to see how much they’ve grown (and we don’t just mean how tall!) They will open the show, playing from 2:30 to 5:00. This year’s crop is The Big Hungry (sophomores at Grady High), Local Establishment (7th graders), and of course My Homework Ate My Dog. The evening shift features Bill Fleming and the Ex-P.A.N.D. Band, The Rainmen featuring MerryLeigh Giarratano, and headliners The Squirrelheads.
This is an all-ages event. All we ask is a $10 donation – kids and teens free. Please leave your critters at home. Bring your own washable plate, cup, and utensils, and get a free raffle ticket! And of course, for maximum fun, volunteer for a two-hour shift to help out. But hurry, before all the slots are filled! For more information, visit www.LCCLT.org or contact us at info@LCCLT.org.
The Land Trust is located at the Arizona Ave. cul-de-sac off McLendon. Please respect our neighbors! Walk, bike, skate, ride MARTA, or carpool if you can. Do not park on side streets around the Land Trust. Don’t block driveways, litter, or talk loudly when leaving late at night. Event parking is available at the Clifton Sanctuary, 369 Connecticut Ave., a short walk away. Just follow the signs.
This a rain-or-shine event. Pray for fabulous weather! Please invite everyone on your lists, pass it around, tell everyone!
